“I joined The Sunshine Foundation because I have always been deeply passionate about supporting children with special needs. As a neuro-physiotherapist, I have spent my career developing innovative ways to empower children and young adults facing complex challenges. When I met Yvonne on holiday in Grenada, I was so moved by her dedication that I knew I wanted to contribute. Meeting the rest of the team in London further inspired me, seeing their incredible commitment to helping families support their children through every obstacle.”
Farshideh brings decades of experience supporting children, young adults, and families navigating complex neurological challenges. NHS-trained, she has worked across renowned specialist institutions—including Great Ormond Street Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology—before establishing The Birkdale Clinic in 1987 to offer dedicated, long-term care focused on enhancing quality of life.
Deeply aligned with The Sunshine Foundation’s mission, Farshideh combines her broad expertise in specialist physical therapy with a warm, tailored approach to help empower children to overcome daily hurdles and thrive within their families and communities. She is a registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), OCPPP, and ACPIN.
